Joining you on board will be a skipper and two PADI Open Water Scuba Instructors, your teachers and mentors as you venture to become a Rescue diver and move on towards dive professional. Spend the first few days anchored in the bay of Grand Case where you will work on Rescue diver academics and shore and yacht based rescue skills. Then sail off to Ile Fourche where you will spend two nights and a full day to wrap up your Rescue academics and work on your in water rescue skills. To take a break from Rescue training venture to the shores of Ile Fourche, a deserted island shaped like a crown, and stretch your legs as you ascent one of its many peaks. Next stop St. Barts. During your stay you will complete your Rescue training with final practice scenarios on which you will be evaluated and then move right on to begin your Divemaster training. Divemaster training begins by honing your in-water dive skills, refreshing and refining your navigations skills, and completing 5 stamina swim tests. With each and every dive your instructors run candidates through a variety of training scenarios to advance your level of awareness underwater. Additionally you will have time to study independently, as well as review with your instructors, dive theory in preparation to take the 8 exams required by PADI. With the bulk of the academics complete, we sail over to the island of Statia to enjoy two wreck dives and continue underwater simulations. Saba is the final stop on this voyage, as it is world renowned for its pristine reefs and healthy fish populations. Besides enjoying some of the many dive sites here, you will participate in your final simulations testing your general awareness and problem solving skills underwater. Above the waves you will complete your remaining examinations. Ending your trip where you began, you return to St. Martin to fly home, but something is a little different…you have now entered the ranks of PADI dive professionals. |
