rrive in St. Martin to meet fellow Divemaster Candidates and board the 46ft catamaran that will be your home and classroom for the next two weeks. Joining you on board will be a skipper and two PADI Open Water Scuba Instructors, your teachers and mentors as you venture to become a dive professional. Spend the first few days anchored in the bay of Grand Case where you will hone your in-water dive skills, participate in a navigation workshop, and complete the 5 stamina tests. Additionally you will have time to study independently as well as review with your instructors dive theory preparing to take the 8 exams required by PADI. Then sail off to Ile Fourche and St. Barts for a few nights. Begin working at advancing your awareness level diving by participating in a variety of scenarios, taking turns with other candidates to be the lead Divemaster on a dive. End the last few days of training moored off the island of Saba, world renowned for its pristine reefs and healthy fish populations. Besides enjoying some of the many dive sites here, you will participate in your final simulations testing your general awareness and problem solving skills underwater. Above the waves you will complete your remaining examinations. Ending your trip where you began, you return to St. Martin to fly home, but something is a little different…you have now entered the ranks of PADI dive professionals. |
