College Credit
All Academic Treks College academic courses are accredited through Lesley University. Our partnership with Lesley University allows our students to earn college credit which can be easily transferred to your home institution. Lesley is a diverse, coeducational university based in Cambridge, MA, with learning sites in 23 states and in Israel. It has been recognized as one of the “best” in the annual U.S. News & World Report rankings. Lesley University was also included in the Princeton Review’s “Best Northeastern Regional Colleges” listings and has been recognized by Backpacker Magazine as having one of the top five outdoor education programs. Just as we do here at Academic Treks College, Lesley puts a high value and emphasis on experiential education.

Students receive their grades, credits and transcripts from Lesley University and can easily transfer credit to their home institution. As our University of Record, Lesley does a full academic review of our courses, syllabi and professors. Our interdisciplinary approach to education combines the best of traditional academic, experiential and service learning, while taking students out of the classroom and into the real world environment. To maximize the experience, we intertwine our studies with practical applications in the natural environments and cultural framework of the places we travel.

To apply for college credit through Lesley University:
Transfer of academic credit from Lesley University to your home institution is easy and all colleges should accept credit earned on Academic Treks College programs. In most cases, academic credit is transferred as an elective or as general credit towards graduation. If you are interested in earning specific credit towards a major or a required course, we encourage you to discuss this issue with your academic advisor. On request, Academic Treks College will provide you with a detailed course description and syllabus to help with this process.
